Summer Internship
For this internship, I had the opportunity to get a head start on my career. Through Ampersand, I gained knowledge and skills for the workforce through the weekly curriculum. I was paired with one of their partnered companies, Uptown Bride, through their strategically-placement process. This included my Birkman Test (a test that measures human characteristics that influence behaviors, motivations, and perceptions) results, which were gained at the beginning of the internship. Through Uptown Bride, I then gained more skills from that experience. I grew in my research, marketing, data analysis, communication, and time management skills through multiple projects I partook in.
Secret Shopper Project
The description of this project is on the second slide. This was my first and longest project. I developed skills such as research, data analysis, more organization, time management, and presentation skills.
Bridal Events Project
I researched and analyzed the best practices for exhibitors at a bridal show, which is similar to a trade show but for weddings. I then presented the information based on what the best process would be for going about it and is meant to be used as a manual or step-by-step process.
Fashion Shows Project
I researched and analyzed the best ways to approach hosting a bridal fashion show. From that, I organized the best process to organize and host a fashion show. The purpose is for the project to be used as a reference or manual.
Overview of Ampersand Experience
This was such a great experience to help me get further to my career goals and develop new skills. I learned so much and have been able to already use the information I learned. This presentation gives an overview of my experience during this wonderful opportunity.
